11:35 pm - SD Gundam Well I was out hunting for some figures today and ended up with these 2 little critters. Gundam BB-304 Sousou Gundam BB-327 Souhi I find them rather cute and plan to collect the rest of this set and a few others. And for $12 each I felt it was a decent price. 12:11 am - Drawing Well I am trying to get back into drawing. I had given it up many years back due to one rather stupid art teacher. He felt that anything that wasn't pictures of food or trees could not be art at all. I had a rather good talent at the time for drawing cityscapes. And as a result most of us failed that course and almost all gave it up. Yes that was back in Junior/Senior high school but events like that can have lasting damage. Recently though it seems the talent has been trying to come back to me but with a more fantasy aspect tossed in so I felt why not go for it. Now I am just looking for suggestions on what is a moderate suggestion for sketch paper. I don't want super pricy but at the same time I don't want the really cheap crap either. Some have told me to work with digital but I feel that it is better to work with paper first to get the feel back. It was kinda funny when the urge first hit me again a couple weeks ago I grabbed some paper and pencil and just started drawing a random dragon image that popped into my head. It was weird case at that time it was all I could think of, like a fever struck. since that I have felt little ideas come to me and just slowly working at it. Oh yeah, for anyone who was wondering, that teacher got his teaching license/degree revoked after word of how he treated "aspiring artists" as not having any skills reached a district head. 11:30 am - Colorado Bound Well tomorrow morning finnyb and I head to the airport to fly down to Colorado for our holidays. This should a rather fun trip.. Getting to attend my first renaisance fair and to visit the mother-in-law. Plus getting to meet plushbot27 So it should be good. We will be down there from tomorrow, June 25 until Tuesday June 30th so no online for us. But I will have my e-mail if anyone does need to reach me. 02:19 am - BLAH & COUGH Sadly, Sunday night I got slammed with the cold/flu bug that finnyb caught from work. And now I feel even worse then I did then. Hacking cough, chills, muscle spasms and overall just feel like crap. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. And the bad part is that bugs like this keep making rotations around our job. So just as you get over one, within a week or 2 you get a new one to keep you company. Even walking with this latest one is a challenge due to dizzy spells and just stiffness. 07:01 am - A Kind Soul Well our way to work this morning finnyb and I dropped by the convenience store near work to get breakfast as we usually do. There was one woman in line in front of us so we just waited. She turned and glanced at us with almost a look of womdering if she knew us then moved off to the side. Just as we were about to pay for our items she puts money on the counter saying "I'll get what they are having'. We thanked her but by the time we turned around there was no trace of her. It was almost like she wasn't even there. We are grateful but surprised. So if by some chance this person sees this post thands again. Current Mood: grateful

01:15 am - The "Mist" erm The Fog Cometh Well about 11:30pm my wife finnyb and brother gurux decided to go out for a walk since a reasonably thick fog had developed. It was actually quite nice, about 8C and no wind. gurux brought his digicam and tripod out with him to try for some night shots. We headed up the hill near us, (more of a sound barrier actually) and he set up for some timer shots. After that we headed out to a nearby field for some more shots and to enjoy the lovely fog filled night. This was the coolest part since it let us feel totally surrounded and a peacefulness. finnyb and I do enjoy these types of walks due to the stillness of the air and hopefully it will aid in sleeping. We all chatted for almost an hour while getting some more photos and headed back as the fog began to dissipate. Sadly by the time we returned home there was no trace left. All in all a great way to end off a relaxing Saturday. Well except for the craziness of Wal-Mart earliere today but that is another story. 08:49 pm - Life's Little Updates Well overall things have been going fairly well. It is nearly the end of September which is quite a surprise. I haven't been working at a job for the past several months but that has alctually had a good side. We have had/have quite a few home renovations that needed to be done so I have helping my dad. And due to his arthritis it isn't always easy for hime to do things himself on it. And with finnyb working full time, that covers all our bills for the time being. So I just do a job searching in the mornings and work on the house during the afternoons. In other news, my brother, gurux has moved back home. He had decided That things weren't going as planned with the ones he was staying with so he decided it was time to come back. Then this coming Monday, my dad is heading to Cape Breton to visit my Nana since she isn't doing so well. So we will be sending our love and hellos to the rest of our relatives. And I am lending my dad my laptop so he can show some of the photos we have to the ones down there. As well it lets him have something to do in the evenings while he is there. And since we still have a second laptop and I should have my new eepc notebook it will be ok. So keep smiling and enjoy yourselves. Till next time.
